Her/His Neptune
So many light years away
Kept defying gravity
Of Space and of Consequence
His/Her Neptune
So fierce, so determined
Would have its say
Neptune is like that
*sigh*
And She/He were absolutely Neptunites
Head to toe
And They spun silently in space
The End.

Sanctuary
Reach out for me
Take my hands and let them be
Sanctuaries for what you hold in your depths
Lean upon my shoulders
Let them be your cup
Let them be your cup
A sanctuary to carry your tears
When loneliness comes

Unchecked Emotions
Emotions rabid
Frothing and foaming at their mouths
Cannibalistic feasting on their host
Neoplasmic feeders
Swallowing whole
Every morsel and droplet
Till there is no place left
For peace, for quiet
For deep love

Fire
Of
Fire of sun and of
Gaia`s core
Silently
and Steadily
Bringing
forth the change of Season
Of
Fire of cellular
burning brightly
Silently
and Steadily
Birthing,
dying, and regenerating
Renewing
life daily in this body of mine
And
in the bodies of my loved ones
Of
Fire that burns in
Touch and Hugs and Kisses
Silently
and Steadily
Unifying
me with the vulnerability of my humanness
Connection
Of
Fire that radiates within my
imagination
Silently
and Steadily
Igniting
`passion and activity`
Creation
Of
Fire in the furnace
and oven
Silently
and Steadily
Enveloping
me in a cocoon
A
safe place
A
place to `be broken and to heal`
A
place to `break bread and share stories`
A
place to `learn and grow,`
A
place to `forgive and love`
To
Just Be
Thank
you.

Memories Held
The ocean holds the memories of my mother
Marguerite Alexandra MacDonald of Victoria by the Sea
II.
The salt of her tears
of joy
of sadness
of elation
of disappointment...they bathe my feet as I walk along her edges
They christen my mortality, as I dive deep into her recesses
I am more because of her
III.
The jutting red cliffs embody the memories of my father
Richard Lea Howatt of Tryon Point
IV.
The iron of his will
of simplistic
of chaotic
of steady
of evasive
They colour my cells, and fill the edges of my bones with battle-scarred marrow
I am more because of him

Richard's Road
Walking down
Richard's road
A salty breeze
Welcomes him home
The lost returns
A child again
Bare foot and open heart
Pretty road side flowers
Your tiny heads bent in evening prayers
Kindly remember his name
As your fragrant blessings fill the air
Settings sun's
Rosy glow
Pours down through
Weathered trees
Rose coloured light
Filters through
Warming hearts and memories
Pretty road side flowers
Your tiny heads bent in evening prayers
Kindly remember his name
As your fragrant blessings fill the air
